Radiohead auction electric guitar from Kid A
The hit alternative indie band is selling the musical instrument used by Ed O'Brien for the Billie Butterfly Fund, a charity that is raising money for Billie Bainbridge, who at the age of four has been diagnosed with cancer.
It was brought to the band's attention through Billie's uncle Luke Bainbridge, who is one of the founders of the Observer Music Monthly magazine.
The instrument has been signed by each one of the members of Radiohead.
It comes with a note that read: "To whoever ends up with this Tele... It was bought in the summer of '98, just prior to us going into record the albums which came out as Kid A and Amnesiac. It was pretty much the only guitar I used at that time. It's also been gigged a lot, up until and including the In Rainbows tour. Hope you enjoy it - all the best."
Kid A was the band's first record to debut at number one in the US album chart. It was known for being a more electronic album and was well received.
