Radiohead's OK Computer named as best album of last 25 years
Radiohead's seminal record OK Computer has been voted as the greatest album of the past 25 years.
Readers of Q Magazine voted the LP into the top spot ahead of electric guitar band Nirvana, who made it into second place with Nevermind.
Two Oasis albums made it into the top five, with (What's The Story) Morning Glory? in third and Definitely Maybe in fourth.
There were also places in the top ten for The Stone Roses' self-titled debut, U2's The Joshua Tree and Arctic Monkeys' Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.
Q Magazine editor-in-chief Paul Rees said OK Computer was a worthy winner.
"In the 13 years since its release, OK Computer's appeal to Q and its readers has grown exponentially," he stated.
"We originally hailed it as a masterpiece and … that isn't an opinion that we've even considered modifying ever since."
Three other Radiohead albums also made it into the top 30 - In Rainbows, Kid A and The Bends.
Last month, the band's lead guitarist Jonny Greenwood explained that Radiohead are currently in the studio working on the follow-up to In Rainbows and are focusing on completing the new record.
