Ray Davies hoping to work with Bruce Springsteen again
Kinks star Ray Davies has revealed he is hopeful of working with Bruce Springsteen again after the pair collaborated in the studio.
The duo teamed up for Davies's new album See My Friends, which takes some of The Kinks' most famous songs and reworks them with the help of some famous artists, including Mumford and Sons, Metallica and Jon Bon Jovi.
Davies said one of his favourite tracks on the record is Better Days, which features the vocals of Springsteen.
He explained the new version of the song had come about through the pair jamming together in the studio, with Davies on the acoustic guitar and Springsteen singing.
The Kinks frontman added the pair could make more music together in the future.
"We had some downtime and I was playing something I'd written on the piano, and he came over with his electric guitar and joined in. He said: 'Get that worked out for next time I'm here and we'll record it'," Davies stated.
Davies recently appeared at the Royal Variety Performance, which took place at the London Palladium.
He is also due to perform at the Royal Festival Hall in the English capital on December 19th.
