Record Store Day Releases - Our Pick!
First established in 2007, Record Store Day celebrates the humble independent record store. Now in RSD's seventh year, the day brings together record enthusiasts and artists all over the country with special events, performances and of course, sought-after releases.

We've asked around at Gear4music to find out what everyone has their eye on this year!
Mark: "Dave Alvin & Phil Alvin 'Common Ground'. Dave is a genius songwriter and performer."
Alex: "I choose 'Ready to Die' by Notorious BIG . It really is a great album. Features some great tracks I love. Not on the list - Wu-Tang Vs The Beatles 'Enter The Magical Mystery Chambers'. Need to add this as I am actually going to buy it on Record Store Day. It's a great mash up of different genres and shows anything is possible. Word!!!"
Pat: #329, 'Music For Insomniacs part IV' by Matt Berry. Had to Google this ...just to check."
Vicky: "I spy Aerosmith and White Denim!"
Ed: "Edwyn Collins 'Gorgeous George' because it's Edwin Collins and is obviously going to be good. Fear of Men 'Loom' is one of my most anticipated releases of the year. The singles collection last year was in my top ten, and the lead single from the album is equally as good. Plus it's got Starbust vinyl and The Wave Pictures 'Helen EP' in an indiepop collectors item with only 50 copies."
Martyn: "Creedence Clearwater Revival 'The 69 Singles', this is how they should be listened to. Haim 'Forever'. 3 girls, on vinyl, can't resist, and Green Day 'Demolicious', childhood reminiscence."
Zak: "'Surfin' Safari' by the Beach Boys. You'd be an idiot not to."
Alice: "'The Long Goodbye: LCD Soundsystem Live at Madison Square Garden', from their last ever show would be an amazing four hours of noise to get hold of."
Joe: "Volbeat 'Doc Holliday'. The way they fuse rock n roll and metal is rather unique and very interesting, and the lead singer has a great voice for both the incorporated genres."
Jon: "I'm hoping to buy releases from Grant Hart, Joy Division, Life Without Buidings and Xiu Xiu's 'Unclouded Sky'. If money were no object I would go for the Dead Kennedys 'Original Singles Collection 1979 - 1982'". Jon also provided a handy colour-coded spreadsheet with more of his choices on!
James: "I went through this list and now I want all the vinyl." James' list includes The Scott Pilgrim video game soundtrack by Anamanaguchi, MGMT, Sun Ra, Henry Mancini's Pink Panther OST and The Dresden Dolls.
