Red Hot Chilli Peppers reveal new album name
Speaking to Spin Magazine, the singer said it is currently called Dr Johnny Skinz's Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head, with the name coming from a friend of the band.
"I think that during the writing of this record I have been the most open-minded and refreshed than I have been in a long time. I guess that comes from ... becoming a father."
The act recently took a two-year break from music, which saw them all try different things.
John Frusciante left the group during their hiatus and he has been replaced by Josh Klinghoffer, which is something Kiedes is excited about the new line-up.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers have not released any work since 2006's Stadium Arcadium, which contained the big hit Dani California.
They have also released the records Californication, By The Way and Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
