Rick and Rolf join forces for festive single
Electric guitar player Rick Parfitt has recorded a new festive single with Australian entertainer Rolf Harris.
Parfitt is of course best known for playing the Fender Telecaster in Status Quo, with whom he has notched up more than 60 hits including Caroline, Down Down and Rockin' All Over the World.
Harris also a number of hits to his name, such as Sun Arise, Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport and the 1969 Christmas number one Two Little Boys.
The duo are hoping their new song - Christmas in the Sun - will achieve similar hit status and become a festive standard.
"This is a great track that will be playing for years to come," Parfitt said.
"Forget rock 'n' roll, this is Rick 'n' Rolf," he added.
The release of the single comes a year after Status Quo released their own festive record It's Christmas Time, which was co-written by Parfitt.Posted on 17 Nov 2009 15:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
