Robert Plant may be at Glastonbury
Glastonbury revellers could again be treated to classic electric guitar riffs at next year's event, as Robert Plant is hoping to be added to the bill.
Fender Telecaster player Bruce Springsteen headed the bill this year, while fellow tele addicts Status Quo also put in a memorable appearance on the Pyramid Stage.
And now Led Zeppelin's former frontman looks set to follow in their footsteps and play at the festival.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Plant said: "There is a chance, yeah but I don't know with who."
Rumours of a Led Zeppelin reunion have been circulating since his one-off show with electric guitar player Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones at the O2 Arena two years ago.
However, he has recently enjoyed success with bluegrass singer Alison Krauss and has consistently ruled out the possibility of a full-time reformation with his former bandmates.
Jones has started a new venture called Them Crooked Vultures, playing bass guitar alongside Josh Homme and Dave Grohl.Posted on 27 Oct 2009 16:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
