Rock AM Ring 2013 acts announced

Green Day, The Prodigy and 30 Seconds To Mars have been announced as the main acts for next year's Rock AM Ring festival.

The event which will be held at the Nurburgring in Germany in June 7th to 9th 2013 will also feature performances from Korn, Paramore, A Day To Remember and Bullet For My Valentine.

It is the first announcement for the German festival with 30 bands already confirmed for the three-day event which is one of the biggest of its kind across the continent and has previously boasted headline appearances from the likes of Metallica, Rammstein and System Of A Down.

Green Day recently released new single Stray Heart from their upcoming album ¡Dos! which is launched today (November 12th) and is the second record of their trilogy with the final instalment, ¡Tré!, being released on December 10th.

The band have had to cancel their remaining tour dates for 2012 and a host of shows in the US over 2013 as front man Billie Joe Armstrong continues his recovery after entering rehabilitation earlier in the year.

Tickets for Rock AM Ring are on sale priced from €150 (£120).
