Rod Stewart considers Faces reunion
Rod Stewart could be set to reunite with electric guitar player Ronnie Wood and play as The Faces.
Wood recently joined forces with Kenny Jones and Ian McLagan for a charity gig at the Royal Albert Hall, although Stewart was absent as he was busy promoting his new album.
However, the legendary vocalist has said he is willing to join his ex-bandmates for a proper reunion at some point.
"Hopefully I'll get my old job back," Stewart commented.
"It's on the cards - I'll do it eventually."
Guest singers including Paul Rodgers of Free and Bad Company fame sung in his place at the reunion gig earlier this month, while former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman filled in for the late Ronnie Lane.
The Faces made their name with a string of rock classics in the early 1970s including Stay With Me, Cindy Incidentally and Ooh La La.
Stewart later went on to enjoy a successful solo career, while Wood replaced Mick Taylor as electric guitar player in The Rolling Stones.Posted on 29 Oct 2009 15:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
