The Roland V-Studio 20 recording system is now compatible with Apple Macs following the launch of a new driver, editor and control plug-in.

It means that two of Mac's leading music software packages, Garage Band and Logic, will now work with the V-Studio 20.

The driver has been made free to download by Roland and means that Mac users will be able to play along to any song using Boss effects on the equipment, reports MI-Pro.

"Its control surface can also double up as a high-quality audio interface for recording onto the computer," the report went on to explain.

The Roland V-Studio 20 is also compatible with PCs and it is the only official product that allows users to have Boss effects on their computer or Mac.

It comes with a stereo USB audio interface, control surface and built-in stereo mics, as well as an effects editor and guitar tracks recording software.
