Roland 'backs teen musician's charity record effort'
13-year-old Heather Cameron-Hayes composed Frontline and entered it in a number of competitions in order to raise money for Help for Heroes, attracting the musical instrument firm in the process, Get Hampshire has reported.
She is one step away from playing her composition at London's O2 Arena and has received expressions of interest from a number of people including her local MP.
Ms Cameron-Hayes said: "I have also been asked by keyboard and piano manufacturers Roland to perform Frontline on their new digital piano which they are releasing. There are only 12 in the UK, so it's quite exciting."
Base to Beat, a Rotherham charity focused on helping children to play a range of musical instruments, was recently presented with a cheque worth Â£78,345 by Children in Need, the BBC reported.
