Ronnie Montrose steps up quest for missing guitar
Former Edgar Winters Group guitarist Ronnie Montrose is suing Gary Moore after tracking down an electric guitar that went missing more than 30 years ago.
Extensive investigation over the subsequent decades has revealed that the instrument eventually found its way into the hands of blues guitar legend Gary Moore.
While Montrose is acknowledging that Moore did not steal the Gibson Les Paul himself, he has received no response about the possibility of getting it back.
Therefore, he believes he has been left with no option than taking the matter through the courts.
Montrose is perhaps best known for his own eponymous band in the mid-1970s, which included future Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar.
Over the years, he has also worked with other famous names including Van Morrison, Gary Wright and Boz Scaggs.Posted on 28 May 2009 11:36 to category : Instruments News
