Sandi Thom to write new song about loss of guitar pedal board
Solo star Sandi Thom has said she is going to pen a new song about the recent loss of her treasured guitar pedal board.
The musician told the Daily Record that the equipment had been stolen from her manager's car in Liverpool, with the device holding 20 harmonicas and five pedals.
She said the loss had affected her, as it had taken her years to get it to its current state.
"You put a pedal board together for different sounds and it's quite unique for each person," Thom explained.
"It was my first pedal board and there's quite a lot of sentimental value there too, which is maybe a geeky guitar thing."
The songwriter noted that reconstructing the pedal board will be a difficult task and said she may have to change her sound as a result of the theft.
Thom has a number of live shows coming up in the next few weeks, playing in the Isle of Man on Friday (March 25th).
She is also due to perform in towns and cities including Milton Keynes, Oxford, Shrewsbury and Nottingham before heading to Germany for four dates in April.
