Scissor Sisters: We're releasing a new album in 2012

Scissor Sisters reveal on Facebook they are releasing a new album in 2012.
Will release a new album in 2012
Scissor Sisters have provided their fans with the best Christmas present ever by revealing they have plans to release an album in 2012.

The band posted a message using the social networking site Facebook to tell their army of followers what they had in store for them.

The message read: "We hope you are having a great Christmas and looking forward to a very exciting 2012 filled with new music, shows, and surprises. One such surprise is coming your way sooner than you thought!"

They said that for most part, 2011 had seen them locked up in the studio, which they were extremely proud of.

"Because you've been such good boys and girls, we'll be kicking off 2012 with a sneak peek of a new song to whet your appetite for what's to come."

Scissor Sisters are known for making some of the catchiest pop music in recent times and everyone is already talking about what kind of sound the new record will have.

It's likely to be a return to their roots – frontman Jack Shears said earlier this year that they were looking to produce something similar to their older stuff.
