Sheffield singer has chart success after X Factor

Guitar playing Sheffield lass's song does well.
Great deals on musical instruments
In past years, X Factor contestants have had the prospect of releasing a Christmas single to look forward to if they go on to win the show.

But this year it seems that one contestant has already been doing well in the charts, despite only appearing in the initial audition round of the ITV1 programme so far.

Playing her acoustic guitar, Sheffielder Lucy Spraggan was shown singing her own song, Last Night (Beer Fear), on the most recent edition of the programme, and getting through her initial audition in the process.

Now the song has apparently become the United Kingdom's second most bought track for the week thus far, or so reported the Official Charts Company yesterday.

In fact it was at number 70 in the singles chart as of last Sunday, the day after Lucy first popped up on The X Factor.

But Sunday also saw Lucy inform her Facebook fans: "Oh dear :( the album is coming offline guys, in preparation for some things coming up... Not my call to make, get it while you can!"

It now appears that the record, on which Last Night (Beer Fear) was a track according to The Official Charts Company, is no longer available on iTunes.
