Shure Introduces Special Edition Super 55 Microphone
Shure, one of the world's leading microphone manufacturers, has introduced a new Super 55 special edition, based on the original mic - a cultural icon.
Known for its excellent sound quality and natural vocal reproduction, Shure created a Limited Edition Super 55 microphone that features a sharp new red and black colour.
"This is an extremely cool-looking mic, but it's not just about the appearance," said Peter James, Managing Director Shure Distribution UK.
"This Special Edition is perfect for performers and music enthusiasts who are looking for a more unique aesthetic and cutting-edge design."
But, he added, this mic is for those who "still appreciate the timeless style and cultural significance represented by these historic microphones."
The Special Edition Super 55 incorporates modern technology while paying tribute to the original Shure Unidyne.
The Shure Unidyne was the first single-element unidirectional microphone - introduced in 1939.
"It's the perfect combination of the ultimate in performance and design," commented Chad Wiggins, Category Director for Wired Microphones at Shure Inc.
Featuring a black die-cast case, supercardioid polar pattern, and striking red foam, the Special Edition Super 55 is ideal for stage, studio recording, podcasting, and other sound applications.
An integrated, swivel stand mount base and microphone bag are also included.
The Super 55 is available from Gear4music.com at a special price, while stocks last!Posted on 12 Aug 2010 14:00 to category : Instruments News
