Shure PG ALTA Microphones Now In Stock!
The Shure PG ALTA series was launched at Winter NAMM 2015. The comprehensive line of entry level microphones includes advanced design features that will give you the sound quality you want for every application.
Ideal for the budget-conscious, the microphones in the PG ALTA series are the perfect introduction to Shure engineering excellence. The complete family features a new line of products, including vocal and instrument microphones, drum kits, and a studio kit.
"PG ALTA microphones are designed for anyone seeking great sound, durability, and style. They are easy to use and help produce great results across the board," said Matt Engstrom, Category Director for Wired Products at Shure. "Vocals or instruments, live sound or studio, new form factors – like the side-address PGA181 - and innovative new mounting options, PG ALTA has what you need. The entire line has undergone our rigorous product testing - just like all Shure products – to ensure it performs perfectly, time after time."
First in the lineup is the PGA181 - suited for a wide range of applications including acoustic and amplified instruments, vocals, as well as live rehearsal recording and performance. The PG ALTA series also features two gooseneck microphones, the PGA98D for drums and PGA98H for horns. Both of these have a flexible discrete design with highly durable construction.
The Shure PGA31 Headset provides reliable performance and a comfortable, secure fit for general speaking and performing uses, and is an ideal replacement for existing systems, compatible with any Shure wireless bodypack systems with TA4F (TQG) connectors. If you're looking for a microphone that provides a flat, balanced response for amplifying/recording natural acoustic instruments, sizzling drum overheads and even percussion, the PGA81 is ideal.
For drummers, Shure have designed the PGA56 snare / tom and PGA52 kick drum microphones. These mics deliver hi-fidelity audio in a stylish and robust black metallic housing, and are perfect for both live and studio applications. The PGA27 condenser microphone is perfect for capturing every nuance of vocals and acoustic instruments thanks to its side-address construction, large diaphragm and cardioid pickup pattern.
For the perfect karaoke and spoken word mic, look no further than the Shure PGA48. This handheld dynamic microphone sounds great and incorporates a cardioid pickup pattern to avoid feedback, with a built-in on/off switch for ease of operation.
