Shure brand winning out against counterfeiters
Microphone manufacturer Shure has revealed that is winning its battle against those who counterfeit its products.
However, recent raids of warehouses in Asia have yielded positive results, representing a further blow against unscrupulous operators.
Anita Man, managing director of Shure Asia, commented: "Due to the popularity and reputation of the Shure brand, they know that consumers are interested in an item that bears the Shure name."
She added that counterfeiters are frequently trying to duplicate its logo, markings and the general appearance of its products.
Consumers who want to purchase Shure products were encouraged to purchase only through authorised and reputable dealers.
The company made its name with products including the popular SM58, a unidirection cardioid dynamic vocal mic which is widely used by live performers.Posted on 28 May 2009 13:45 to category : Instruments News
