Sir Paul McCartney 'proud' of The Beatles' music
All of the Fab Four's albums have been remastered and released and are set to dominate the album charts again, more than 40 years after they were first issued.
However, Sir Paul McCartney has admitted that he and his bandmates only thought the success of the group would last for a relatively short time.
"When we got really successful we thought, if we were lucky, we might last for ten years," he told the Sun.
"And then things just got out of hand."
Sir Paul said he is very proud of the fact that Beatles music appeals to different generations.
He added that what started off as four youngsters trying to make a living and "have a laugh" has turned into a phenomenon that could go on forever.
Remastered versions of all of the band's original albums, including Rubber Soul, Revolver and A Hard Day's Night, came out today, along with the Fab Four's non-album tracks and b-sides.Posted on 9 Sep 2009 14:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
