Slash donates Gibson guitars to charity auction
Slash has donated two signature Gibson guitars to a forthcoming charity auction.
The former Guns N' Roses guitarist is giving away more than 300 items in an attempt to help one of his favourite charities, the Los Angeles Youth Network, which works to help homeless, abused and neglected adolescents to become self-sufficient.
Along with the Gibson guitars, Slash has also handed over his 1966 Corvette Stingray car, reports the Look to the Stars website.
A diamond encrusted guitar pendent is also up for grabs for collectors, as well as a number of T-shirts he has worn while on stage.
Fans will be able to view the items at Julien's Auctions showroom in Beverley Hills from March 7th up until the sell-off takes place on March 26th.
At the auction, individuals who turn up dressed as Slash will receive a free catalogue.
On the same date, the auction house will also be putting famous items linked to acts such as Prince, Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles under the hammer.
Slash is currently on tour in the US, with the electric guitar player set for dates in Australia, Japan and China next month.
