Slow Club move UK tour to September
Folk-rock duo Slow Club have moved their planned UK tour to September after band member Rebecca Taylor fell sick.
The musician, who plays the guitar and drums as well as sings for the act, is now on the mend but a decision was taken to move back their live shows, which had originally be scheduled for May, reports NME.
This was due to coincide with the release of a new album, but recording sessions for the LP were delayed by Taylor's illness.
Fans who have tickets to the original show have been told they remain valid for the autumn dates.
Slow Club will start off the revised run of gigs in Nottingham on September 12th, going on to play shows in Birmingham, Newcastle, Sheffield and Glasgow.
The tour is also due to include performances in Edinburgh, York, Manchester, Bristol and London, drawing to a conclusion on September 29th in Brighton.
Their new album has also had its release date put back and is now expected to come out in the summer.
According to the band's MySpace page, they are influenced by the music of Leonard Cohen and Rod Stewart.
