Sobriety 'has improved Slash's electric guitar playing'
Electric guitar legend Slash has said his skills on the musical instrument have improved now that he is clean and sober.
Speaking to the Daily Record, the star said he believed his control over the electric guitar has improved since removing alcohol, cigarettes and drugs from his life.
"My reflexes are a lot better and my ability to concentrate and hit the notes on the fret board is as immediate as they come to my mind," he explained.
Slash added that he is able to play in a more accurate fashion, which is especially important when he is performing live and improvising his way through many of his songs.
"I find my spontaneity means I am able to connect faster than when I was drinking," he noted.
The star revealed he is planning to record another solo album in the near future, with the record being followed up by a tour of the UK and Europe during 2011.
Slash has a busy start to next year already scheduled into his diary, with a host of US shows set to take place in January and February.
He is then due to visit Australia, Asia and South America as the year progresses.
