Steinberg have announced Cubase 7 and Cubase Artist 7, the newest versions of their long-standing DAW, available from Gear4music from 5th December 2012.

The biggest new feature is the MixConsole, which offers uncompromising audio quality and routing flexibility from the outset and adjusts seamlessly to notebook screens and large-scale displays.

For professionals working regularly with the mixer, Cubase 7 features many workflow improvements, including A/B comparison and global bypass for all audio effects, a plug-in search function and drag-and-drop support throughout.

Cubase 7 supports many hardware remote controllers right out of the box, and features a Remote Control Editor to visually customise the parameter layout of individual effects and instruments on your control surface.

The new global Chord Track lets you easily work with chords and provides transform and harmonise functions throughout the application.

VariAudio 2.0 is an upgrade to the feature first introduced in Cubase 5, and seamlessly integrates with Chord Track to ensure correct pitch to your harmonies at all times.

Cubase 7 also features fresh new drum samples and thousands of MIDI construction loops, so you can easily build your own song in a few simple steps.
