Stereophonics recording in Europe
Stereophonics are recording their new album in Europe.
The 'Dakota' group have written many tracks about their Welsh roots, with debut album 'Word Gets Around' about daily life in their hometown of Cwmaman and their last record, 'Keep Calm and Carry On', about frontman Kelly Jones' teenage years in the town, but he promises their eighth record will be a "bit different" and will hopefully have a foreign flavour to it.
Speaking at the launch of rock group AC/DC's 'Live at River Plate' DVD premiere in London, Kelly told BANG Showbiz: "The album is really good so far. We've been in the studio for a few weeks and we're off to Europe next week to do some more recording.
"The style is a bit different, we're doing some stuff for films so you'll have to wait and see."
The singer and guitarist also said he finds it "f*****g unbelievable" how AC/DC are "still kicking every young band up the ass," despite having enjoyed an almost 40 year career.
He added: "They keep themselves to themselves and they keep all the bull st for the stage, unlike 90 per cent of the industry.
"For a band to be doing that for as long as they've been doing it and still kicking every young band up the ass is f***g unbelievable. They are one of my favourite bands I've ever seen since I was a kid. I'm the biggest AC/DC fan in the country."
'Live at River Plate' - which features a filmed concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of AC/DC's Black Ice Tour - is out now.Posted on 10 May 2011 08:30 to category : Music News
