Stevie Wonder to play gig in Manchester
Piano player Stevie Wonder is to play a gig in Manchester as part of his upcoming visit to the UK, it has been announced.
The Motown legend will appear at the MEN Arena in the English city on June 29th 2010.
His performance there will be his third in a matter of days in this country, with Wonder set to play the Hard Rock Calling Festival in London on June 26th before closing the Glastonbury Festival on June 27th.
Tickets for the Manchester gig go on sale to fans of the piano player this Friday (April 23rd) from 09:00.
Last month, Wonder was made a Commander of the Arts and Letters in France.
The piano player was originally due to be presented with the honour back in the early 1980s, but a series of scheduling clashes meant he could not attend an official ceremony until recently.
Wonder said he had been left "breathless" by the presentation of the accolade.Posted on 21 Apr 2010 19:45 to category : Band / Celebrity News
