Stone Roses 'to be resurrected'
Iconic Manchester band the Stone Roses are set to reunite after singer Ian Brown and electric guitar player John Squire ended their 15-year feud.
According to the Sun, the pair started talking again after both attending the funeral of the mother of former bandmate Mani earlier this year.
This has led the way to a reunion being lined up, with the event expected to take place later in the year.
An insider said: "Ian has been mulling over reaching out to John for a while now. A lot of water has gone under the bridge and everyone has grown up."
The source added that since the funeral the pair have been in regular contact as they have a lot to catch up on.
To complete the line-up of the group, the Stone Roses now want to track down Reni, the man behind the drum kit in the band.
Ian Brown has a solo commitment to fulfil before any potential gigs with his old band take place - the star as been booked to play at the Super Bock Super Rock Festival in Portugal on July 16th.
The line up for the bash also includes Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes.Posted on 7 Apr 2011 15:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
