Street busker ready for festival stage
Lewis Floyd Henry, a busker from London, is preparing to make the jump from street performing to a festival stage.
The guitar player, who has been dubbed the 'one-man Jimi Hendrix Experience', has been putting on weekly shows on Brick Lane for the past seven years.
Last year, he turned up at Bestival to do some guerrilla gigging and as a result of his success there he has now been booked to play the festival in an official capacity, reports the London Evening Standard.
Henry said his dreams are beginning to come true.
"I've always wanted to be a musician, from as far back as I can remember," he stated. "I picked up the guitar properly aged eight and starting having lessons at 11."
Other acts who will also be performing at this year's Bestival include the likes of The Flaming Lips, The Prodigy, Dizzee Rascal and Simian Mobile Disco.Posted on 17 Jul 2010 09:00 to category : Music News
