SuBo bags a doctorate
And now Susan Boyle – affectionately known as SuBo – will no doubt be pleased to have bagged herself an honorary doctorate.
The Wild Horses crooner was given the honour from Queen Margaret's University, in the Scottish city of Edinburgh.
The crooner is also well-known for her successful albums, such as last year's Someone To Watch Over Me, and 2009's I Dreamed A Dream.
Last Year she teamed up with funny-man Peter Kay on a version of the song I Know Him So Well.
Boyle appeared on Britain's Got Talent in the same year as the dance troupe Diversity, who went on to win the show that season.
The programme's most recent ITV1 season saw the act Ashleigh and Pudsey crowed as champs.
The show, famously hosted by the duo Ant and Dec, has featured music instrument players such as guitar strummer Michael Collings in the past.
