Summer NAMM 2016: Martin Guitar Expand Junior Series
The new model in the Road series is the DRSG - a dreadnought guitar with a Sitka spruce top and Fishman Sonitone electronics as well as a hand-rubbed neck finish for that unique Martin vibe. The Junior lineup has two new additions in the shape of the D Jr - a guitar which is ideal for smaller players, students, travelers, or anyone who aspires to the clarity and depth of tone that has defined Martin instruments for more than 180 years.
"On stage, I play a normal-sized Dreadnought. And in my daily life, especially when touring is in full effect, I play my Martin D Jr. E about 90% of the time. The convenience of it is unmatched and as per usual with Martin guitars, it feels at home in my hands. I am not likely to leave home without it.” -Seth Avett, The Avett Brothers.
Moreover, the D Jr. 2 Sapele features Martin's pioneering dreadnought body shape but in a more compact format. The D Jr. 2 also boasts Richlite fingerboard and a hand-rubbed neck and body finish.
The more affordable X-Series features seven new cutaway models. Each guitar in this range has a cutaway design allowing you to access the higher frets of the guitar. Classic dreadnought styles are available in the form of the DCXAE Black, DCX1RAE and DCX1AE.
For those seeking a grand-performance-style body then there are four models including the GPCXAE Black, GPCX1RAE, GPCX1AE and the OMCXAE Black.
