Synth Fans: Yamaha reface is Here
After weeks of teasers, Yamaha have finally revealed their new reface range, featuring two synthesizers, a combo organ and an electric stage piano.

First in the lineup is the reface CS synthesizer - a revival of the Yamaha Control Synthesizer series that shaped the sound of 70s pop music.

The CS has an envelope generator and is a filters with an intuitive user interface. Early synths were notoriously difficult to program, which makes the analog choice far more intuitive and unique.

Next is the reface DX synthesizer - a revival of the Yamaha FM synths that shaped the sound of 80s electronic music, the now classic DX7.

The DX has a new FM tone generator and is a 4 operator synth with an intuitive user interface. Early synths were notoriously difficult to program and navigate, the reface DX is a stripped back, streamlined approach to synth design.

The CP stage electric piano is a 37 key, portable stage piano that has 6 classic keyboard sounds including the CP sound which emulates an authentic grand piano sound.

The reface CP is lightweight and portable and has built in speakers, and features classic rhodes, wurlitzer, klavier and toy piano sounds that can all be enhanced with the on board effects.

Finally, the reface YC Combo Organ has 5 vintage organ sounds with drawbars and percussion to please old school organ lovers. This 37 key portable combo organ has built in effects such as distortion and reverb, these effects can be combined with any preset sound.

Unlike the majority of vintage style organs, the reface is compact and lightweight with built in speakers and optional battery power. The keyboard can be connected to external speakers or PA systems, making it ideal for live performance.
