Tame Impala announce largest ever UK show
The band will play London's Hammersmith Apollo on June 25th 2013 marking their rapid success throughout the past year which has seen them receive critical acclaim for their recently released album, Lonerism.
The Australian quartet's record was named as NME's Album of the Year and gained rave reviews from a number of other publications putting the group firmly on the music industry map.
Speaking about the award, front man Kevin Parker told NME: "When you're making an album, it's very difficult to still be in love with it at the end in the same way you were when [you] started it. By the end of Lonerism, I was doubting everything. I worked myself into a state of mind where I was questioning everything."
Tickets for the Hammersmith show go on sale on Friday (December 14th) at 9am and will mark a major milestone for the band.
They have experienced significant success since their formation in 2007 and scored notoriety with both Lonerism and their 2010 record, Innerspeaker.
