Taylor Momsen wants Noel Gallagher collaboration
Taylor Momsen wants to write music with Noel Gallagher.
The 'Pretty Reckless'singer is a huge fan of Noel's former band Oasis and revealed while she would love to perform with the British group she would be even happier for the chance to compose songs with Noel.
She said: "Noel Gallagher. I'd love to write with Noel Gallagher. I'd do a song with all of Oasis but I'd love to write a song with Noel."
If a collaboration with Noel doesn't work out, Taylor would also be interested in working with Paul McCartney as The Beatles are her favourite band.
She explained: "I mean my all-time favourite band is The Beatles for their genius, I mean I guess I'd love to write with Paul McCartney that would be awesome, John Lennon's not a possibility anymore but Paul McCartney would be amazing to collaborate with."
Songwriting is hugely important to Taylor and while she doesn't have a problem with artists who don't write their own music she admitted she couldn't imagine singing someone else's songs.
She told Misformusic.com: "It's the most important thing. I'd sing a song if it was good but songwriting is so personal that I can't imagine singing something apart from a cover that I didn't write. It's the most important thing to me, it's why I love music and I love writing songs."Posted on 9 Feb 2011 06:30 to category : Music News
