Taylor Swift's shuddery songs
Taylor Swift writes songs about experiences which make her "shudder it is to think about".
The 'Love Story' singer made herself sit down and purposefully write about her most painful experiences as a way of coming to terms with them for her new album 'Speak Now'.
She said: "I write about everything that intensely affects me. The more intense, the more painful, the more of a shudder it is to think about, the more I know I need to write a song about it to get past it.
She added that this is the same way she approached writing songs since she was a schoolgirl.
Taylor told MTV: "It's been like this since I was a little kid, and I would go to school, and I would think to myself, 'Man, I'm really lonely, and I don't know who to talk to today, but it's OK because I can write a song about it later.' It's the same process; I'm just 20 now."
She also said she's been holding back some of the most poignant and painful moments of the last few years - which have seen her enjoy a romance with 'Twilight' hunk Taylor Lautner and upstaged and interrupted while accepting an award by Kanye West - from hbeing released before the album.
She added: "The ones that haven't been released early, those are the ones that are little surprises; so I'm on the edge of my seat."
'Speak Now' was released on Monday (25.10.10).Posted on 28 Oct 2010 06:45 to category : Band / Celebrity News
