Teenage Cancer Trust announces support acts for Royal Albert Hall gigs
A host of support acts from electric guitar bands to solo performers - have been announced for the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs set to take place at the Royal Albert Hall later this month.
In February, headline acts such as Arctic Monkeys, Suede and electric guitar player Noel Gallagher were all confirmed for the shows, which mark the tenth anniversary of the annual event.
It has now been revealed that Gallagher is to receive support for his first two solo shows since leaving Oasis from The Courteeners and Plan B, while Mystery Jets will perform on the same night as Arctic Monkeys.
Other acts who have been added to the line up include The Horrors, The King Blues and Sweet Billy Pilgrim.
One night will be devoted to comedy and the likes of Jimmy Carr, Jason Manford and Tommy Tiernan have been signed up for that show.
Last month, Roger Daltrey of The Who, the man who planned the gigs, said: "I'm extremely proud of this event. I'm forever inspired by the support I have received from the artists and members of the music and comedy industries."Posted on 3 Mar 2010 19:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News
