The Black Keys offer up support for superstar Lana Del Rey.
Feel for Lana Del Rey
Hit music makers The Black Keys have told MTV that they feel sorry for stars like Lana Del Rey who suddenly find themselves catapulted to worldwide fame and then attacked by the media soon after.

Dan Auerbach, the band's guitarist explained how they understood exactly what Del Rey is going through because they experienced exactly the same thing when they made it into the mainstream charts.

"Like, all of a sudden this new band would be headlining festivals, and we're like, wWait, how did they get that? We've been here for two, three, four, five years and we're still working our way up", he added.

"But then they're gone. Just as quickly as they get up there, they disappear."

Del Rey needn't worry too much what the critics are saying about her – she was especially lambasted for a performance she gave on Saturday Night Live last month – as her debut studio album has rocketed to the top of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.

In the UK, Born to Die sold more than 117,000 copies in the first week alone.
