The Cribs 'planning more new material'
Electric guitar band The Cribs could follow up surprise single Housewife with more unexpected releases.
Guitarist Ryan Jarman told NME that the band have written a "bunch of stuff" but are unsure about what capacity it will be used in.
The group caught their fans unawares by releasing Housewife earlier this week (August 9th 2010) at short notice.
Jarman said The Cribs like to look to the future as much as possible.
"As soon as we finish a record I'm looking ahead to the next one because the only reason I write songs is I buzz off it," the guitar player explained.
"I want that feeling over and over again."
Earlier this year, Cribs member Johnny Marr explained to BBC 6 Music that the band have been experimenting with keyboards as they work on their next album.
He said he expects the new record could sound fairly different to what the group have released before.
