The Cribs using keyboards for recording of new album
Electric guitar player Johnny Marr has revealed that The Cribs are experimenting with different musical styles as they get started on the recording of their next album.
Marr, who joined the Jarman brothers in 2008, told BBC 6 Music that the fifth record from the boys is shaping up to be "quite different" to what has come before.
"Ryan's been playing some keyboards and he's got very inspired by it so it still sounds like the band and his lyrics are always really interesting," he said.
Marr explained that although The Cribs are currently in the studio, they will break off from recording to perform at a number of festivals this summer, including Glastonbury and T in the Park.
Earlier this year, the band had to call off a planned performance at the Coachella Festival in America, as their flight was cancelled due to the volcanic ash cloud lingering above Europe.Posted on 24 May 2010 15:47 to category : Instruments News
