The Darkness announce UK tour dates
Hard rock and electric guitar wielding band The Darkness have announced dates for their UK tour.
The band, who only very recently got back together, will be touring across the UK in November.
They will be playing 14 dates in most of the major cities across the country, including Liverpool, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham, Southampton and London.
This evening (June 10th) will see them perform at the Download Festival.
Speaking at last night's Kerrang! awards, Justin Hawkins, the band's frontman, said they were feeling nervous.
He said: "We're as ready as we'll ever be. The main thing was tweaking the set to see which of the new songs, if any, were going to be included for the big show. But we haven't really worked that out yet because they all went down the same. It's very hard to make a judgement on it."
The band first saw bass guitar player Frankie Poullain quit in 2005 because of "musical differences", before the band completely disbanded in 2006 when Hawkins quit.
They are now back together in their original line up.
The band captured the public imagination with their debut album Permission to Land, which was released in 2003. It was the first time everyone got to hearing Justin Hawkins' booming falsetto voice.
