The Drums confirm they will not seek new guitar player
The Drums have confirmed that they are to move ahead as a three-piece following guitarist Adam Kessler's shock decision to leave the band.
Coming as the New York band tours their native United States, they have been prompted to issue a statement stressing that they have no intention of hiring a replacement for the foreseeable future.
Despite noting that the remaining members of the Brooklyn act, Jonny, Jacob and Connor, were left "sad" and "devastated" by Kessler's bombshell, they have stated that it's business as usual for The Drums.
"We have started work on the new album and are all thrilled to be embarking on our first US tour this month and returning to the UK in November to play concerts," the band's statement added.
The Drums came together in 2006, out of the ashes of the short-lived Elkland and Goat Explosion groups.
