The Flaming Lips announce May 2013 London shows
The band are due to play Camden's Roundhouse on May 20th and 21st 2013, marking a first return to the UK's shores since 2011 when they appeared at Live From Jodrell Bank in July of that year.
Following the announcement of the UK shows, the group have also revealed that they will premiere a new concert film on their website, flaminglips.com, which will be released later in the week.
Entitled Freak Night, it was filmed during their homecoming show in Oklahoma City in October at the City Zoo Amphitheatre. It was billed as the "largest costume party in the Midwest".
The band have a number of appearances scheduled before the end of the year at The Falls Music & Arts Festival in Lorne and Hobart in Australia.
They kick off 2013 in March by performing at Lollapalooza in Brazil alongside the likes of The Killers, Queens of the Stone Age and Pearl Jam among others.
