The Killers confirmed for Hard Rock Calling
The Killers are to headline one of the nights at this year's Hard Rock Calling festival.
Fans of the electric guitar indie band - who shot to fame after releasing a string of singles, including When You Were Young, Mr Brightside and Somebody Told Me - will top the bill on the Friday night of the British music event.
It is set to be held in London's Hyde Park on June 24.
Ronnie Vannucci, the group's drummer, said: "It's been too long, friends. Feels like forever since we've seen each other and now it's time we pay a visit. Feeling creative, let's do this."
The band decided to take a one-year hiatus in 2010 as Brandon Flowers released a solo album, entitled Flamingo, which spawned the hit single Crossfire.
Rockers Bon Jovi have already been confirmed to headline the festival on the Saturday night, while Rod Stewart and former Fleetwood Mac hitmaker Stevie Nicks will join forces to close Hard Rock Calling on the Sunday.
Meanwhile, the likes of Rumer, Train, Adam Ant, Mike and the Mechanics and Barenaked Ladies will also appear at various points throughout the weekend.
