The Killers heading back to the studio
The Killers are heading back into the studio next week.
The 'Human' rockers are preparing to start work on their fourth album after taking hiatus in 2010, and drummer Ronnie Vanucci Jr. said the whole group are brimming with ideas.
He told UK radio station XFM: "Tuesday I think we start doing some writing again. We have piles of songs we want to show each other. We're going to get back in that room and start writing."
Ronnie added fans of the band - which also includes singer Brandon Flowers, guitarist Dave Keuning and bass player Mark Soermer - need not have worried about them following up last album 'Day & Age', as they all feel the band is too "special" for them to give up.
He said: "Because everybody knows where their bread is buttered and that what we do is special, you can't throw it away. It's guarded and heavily cared for. We don't want to be away for too long."
In between making the new Killers album Ronnie will still be continuing his solo project, Big Talk, and he added that while recording songs for their debut he always kept in mind what he had learned from starting out with Brandon.
He added: "Having to lay vocals down or write lyrics I really would remember how he would do it. He would always just be so fearless and didn't give a s**t about whatever and would just really put it out on the line and I really admire that from him."Posted on 12 May 2011 08:30 to category : Music News
