The Killers working on new studio album
The Killers have revealed that there are a number of songs down the line for a new studio album.
In a surprisingly interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe yesterday (June 21st), frontman Brandon Flowers said that the band were back in the studio with their music instruments and writing pads, composing new material for their fourth album.
Their last album Day & Age was released in 2008 to critical acclaim.
Flowers told the BBC: "We have about four or five songs. We've put them up on the board and they're sounding good. We think they're strong."
The band, who come from Las Vegas, Nevada, are in the UK at the moment and will play two "intimate" gigs at London's Scala tonight (June 22nd) and tomorrow (June 23rd).
This will then be followed up by a headline performance at Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park.
Fans are in for a treat as online rumours have suggested that The Killers will play one song each from their respective solo material.
The Killers formed in 2001 and found fame with their song Mr Brightside, which went on to be a runaway hit across the world.
