The Kinks to Reunite This Year?
Ray told The Sunday Times, "I met Dave only last week to talk about getting back together again" adding, "he's been composing his own songs, but I'd really like to write with him again." Big news as it's been reported the brothers had only communicated by email about business matters after the British Invasion band split in 1996.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of The Kinks' debut album, although Ray explained it's been agreed that they'd rather produce something new than tour past hits.
However, Ray also said there are issues to be resolved between Mick Avory, drummer for the Kinks who quit in 1984. Avory has said that it "would be nice to do something all together" although "the chances are diminishing."
