The Neptunes prepare 'vicious' album
The Neptunes are working on a "vicious" new album.
The production duo - made up of Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams - have written huge hits for Kelis, Britney Spears, ODB and Snoop Dogg, but only released one album, 'Clones', in 2003, which they are now ready to follow up.
Pharrell told the Herald Sun newspaper: "This new Neptunes record we're working on right now is vicious. It's definitely harder - it totally demands sweat."
The producer and singer also clarified the difference between his work as The Neptunes and with group N.E.R.D - in which he is also a member alongside Chad - saying it is a matter of personality.
He added: "Music is music. But with N.E.R.D we put more of our personality into it, that's just us being us, and with Neptunes we produce for a lot of people so we allow space for their personalities, for them to be themselves and our music sort of commandeers the direction a bit."
A title or release date for the album has yet to be set.Posted on 29 Dec 2010 16:15 to category : Music News
