The Saturdays jealous of Sirens?

Girl band Sirens reckon The Saturdays are jealous of their creative freedom.

Sirens reckon The Saturdays are jealous of them.

The girl band - who have been together for over a decade and are about to release their third album, '3' - reckon many other pop groups are envious of their position, because they have creative freedom over their songs and image.

Singer Karina exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Everything we do, we're in control of our own destiny we're allowed to grow as artists, The Saturdays would probably love that opportunity to develop as artists and writers and be their own characters without somebody telling them what to do 24 hours a day.

"We're also about the only girl band ever to be signed to an indie label. We're not in it for celebrity and we're not in this to feature on the cover of a magazine or fall out of a club."

Karina - who is joined in the group by Lea Reynolds and Kat Monaco - also said the band overhauled their image ahead of their new single 'Stilletos', and based it on the three characters in comic series Gotham City Sirens, which features Batman's nemeses Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.

'Club LA LA' singer Karina added: "It's a bit ironic that the song's called 'Stilletos' because we all just live in Shell Toes and baggy jeans, and we've grown up and more mature and the album's different, and so we figured we needed a new image to go with it. It's great because we feel like we're getting into our costume for the show. it's kind of cool."

'Stilettos' is released on October 4, and '3' will follow at the beginning of next year.
