The Slow Show's drum kit gets nicked
Chris Hough, who plays drums for The Slow Show, an indie folk band, had his drums stolen earlier this week, reported the BBC.
Luckily though, plenty of kind-hearted people have offered their drum kits for Mr Hough to use ahead of the gig, ensuring that they will get to play a very important show.
It's a devastating blow for the drummer as the drum kit and all its accessories is something he has built up over the quarter of a century he has been in the business.
"I was loading up the van to come to rehearse on Monday night and my wife asked her to go to the supermarket with her," he told the BBC.
"I was begrudging and eventually I did go, but when we returned about an hour later the van had disappeared and they had smashed through the back doors at the back of the house."
Mr Hough remains optimistic that the police will find the culprits, which in turn will reunite him with his beloved drum kit.
"My kit was custom made and so special to me."
The Slow Show define their music as a "classic sound", influenced by rock and roll, jazz and American folk.
