The Strokes: We're back in the studio
The Strokes have announced that they are recording brand new music for their impending latest studio album.
Having only just released their fourth album earlier this year, it appears to be the case that the band have got over the disharmony that had threatened to break them up.
Speaking to NME, Nikolai Fraiture, who plays the bass guitar for the band, said the band had already done "a little bit" of recording in the studio.
"We already went back a little bit. Every time we have a couple of weeks off we like to go back into the studio to see how things progress and not leave them too long," he told the magazine.
Similar to the recently reformed Suede who have said that they will not rush making a new album, The Strokes, although back in the studio, don't believe that it's "urgent" to bring a new record out.
Fraiture added that it was important that they all were feeding off the same vibe in wanting to make music.
He added: "Right now everyone's getting along, we're all travelling together, it's a good vibe."
The Strokes came together in 1998 in New York City.
