The View add new keyboard player for third album
A keyboard player has joined indie group The View.
Darren Rennie has been playing live with the Scottish group for around a year and will now appear on the band's third album, which is in the process of being recorded.
The addition of the keyboard player to the band was announced by bass guitarist Kieren Webster in an interview with the Daily Record.
Webster said that fans of The View should expect a "different" sounding record to two preceding albums.
"It has funky guitar and pop-led tunes on it and a couple of things you wouldn't expect," the bassist explained.
He went on to praise the influence of producer Simon 'Youth' Glover - who previously worked on The Verve's Urban Hymns album - as "great".
Last week, The View announced they will be playing a warm-up gig in Inverness on July 7th 2010 ahead of their appearance at T in the Park.Posted on 22 Jun 2010 16:20 to category : Instruments News
