Indie band The View are going to play a slot at the Gibson Guitar Studio in London next month.

The Scottish stars will kick off a run of invite-only gigs at the venue on March 10th, with further performances from the likes of The Moons, The Crookes, Kill it Kid and The Rifles also scheduled to take place in the coming months.

Another act will also play at the Gibson Guitar Studio on March 24th, but the identity of the artist or band has yet to be revealed.

Michael Wright, a contributor to the Gibson Lifestyle blog, said: "Over the past few years, the studio has hosted invite-only gigs from such artists as Paul Weller, Kaiser Chiefs, Athlete, Feeder, Snow Patrol, Imelda May, The Temper Trap and The Boxer Rebellion, to name a few."

Free tickets are being given away for The Merc Live @ The Gibson Guitar Studio series, with a maximum of 150 pairs being handed out for each performance.

The View are set to go on a more extensive UK and Ireland tour in April, with dates for the electric guitar band lined up in Dundee, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Belfast, Dublin and Nottingham.
